The work Verdant Mountains and Forest by Xiang Kui was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,328.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiang Kui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 188,800.00 (€ 23,006.54).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Verdant Mountains and Forest von Xiang Kui kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.328,70) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiang Kui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 188.800,00 (€ 23.006,54) versteigert wurde.
