A top price for Xiang Kui
When the work Landscape by Xiang Kui was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 25,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at HKD 188,800.00 (€ 23,006.54). This high result makes Landscape the most expensive artwork by Xiang Kui that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Xiang Kui
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Xiang Kui im November 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 25.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 188.800,00 (€ 23.006,54) mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Landscape zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Xiang Kui, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
