Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Xiang Kui was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 4,373.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Xiang Kui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 188,800.00 (€ 23,006.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Xiang Kui wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 4.373,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiang Kui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 188.800,00 (€ 23.006,54).
