Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xia Junna achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work without title sold for HKD 547,500.00 (€ 45,073.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xia Junna; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Evening sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of CNY 708,000.00 (€ 84,883.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xia Junna erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 547.500,00 (€ 45.073,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Xia Junna; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Evening im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 708.000,00 (€ 84.883,95).
