Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xaviera Simmons could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Photographs auction, the work Index Five, Composition Two changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,023.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xaviera Simmons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Country Built On Free Labor, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,137.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
