Another version of the first drawing, signed and dated 1826, was offered at Bonhams, Oxford, 30 June 2015, lot 494 and other versions of the butcher's shop were offered at Blindarte, Naples, 24 November 2013, lot 2 and Bonhams, London, 8 March 2005, lot 13. The motive of the morra players with the seated man to the left also appears in a gouache, signed and dated 'Gatta. f. 1784', sold at Christie's, London 18 April 1989, lot 55.

The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,837.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xavier Della Gatta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Naples, Vue Du Palais Royal De Portici, Avec Le Vésuve En Éruption; Naples, Vue Du Port De Portici in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 138,750.00.
