Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work View of Naples at Beverello from the side of Palazzo Reale; and View of Naples with the Castel Sant'Elmo (2) by Xavier Della Gatta. The price achieved of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,257.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xavier Della Gatta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Naples, Vue Du Palais Royal De Portici, Avec Le Vésuve En Éruption; Naples, Vue Du Port De Portici in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 138,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of Naples at Beverello from the side of Palazzo Reale; and View of Naples with the Castel Sant'Elmo (2) von Xavier Della Gatta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.257,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xavier Della Gatta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Naples, Vue Du Palais Royal De Portici, Avec Le Vésuve En Éruption; Naples, Vue Du Port De Portici im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 138.750,00.
