Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree trunk by Xavier Corberó was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2003. The price achieved of EUR 1,673.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xavier Corberó achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mesa in October 2004 with an auction result of EUR 40,630.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree trunk von Xavier Corberó kam im Juni 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.673,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xavier Corberó erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mesa im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.630,00.
