Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Hove To For The Pilot by Xanthus Russell Smith for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,804.60). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Xanthus Russell Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A South Carolina Coastal Scene and Hilton Head Port Royal, South Carolina: Two Works in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 61,955.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hove To For The Pilot von Xanthus Russell Smith für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.804,60) erwerben.
