Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Lunch For The Harvest by Xanthus Russell Smith. The price achieved of USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,372.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xanthus Russell Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A South Carolina Coastal Scene and Hilton Head Port Royal, South Carolina: Two Works in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 61,955.34).

Im März 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Lunch For The Harvest von Xanthus Russell Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.372,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xanthus Russell Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A South Carolina Coastal Scene and Hilton Head Port Royal, South Carolina: Two Works im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 61.955,34).
