Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 1,135.25 (€ 1,041.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xanthus Russell Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A South Carolina Coastal Scene and Hilton Head Port Royal, South Carolina: Two Works in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 61,955.34).
