Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Boating Party by Wynand Johannes Joseph Nuyen was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 33,600.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wynand Johannes Joseph Nuyen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hiver: a winter landscape with figures near a fishermans house, which sold at auction in October 2002 for EUR 101,575.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Boating Party von Wynand Johannes Joseph Nuyen wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 33.600,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Wynand Johannes Joseph Nuyen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hiver: a winter landscape with figures near a fishermans house beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für EUR 101.575,00 versteigert wurde.
