Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures by a harbour inn, Normandy by Wynand Johannes Joseph Nuyen was sold in the European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,682.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wynand Johannes Joseph Nuyen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hiver: a winter landscape with figures near a fishermans house in October 2002 with an auction result of EUR 101,575.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.682,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden.
