Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work CALLIGRAPHY by Wu Zhongqi. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,327.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Zhongqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,583.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit CALLIGRAPHY von Wu Zhongqi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.327,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Zhongqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.583,25).
