The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Wu Zhongqi was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,384.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Wu Zhongqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,583.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Wu Zhongqi kam im Mai 2015 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.384,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Zhongqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.583,25).
