A top price for Wu Zhongqi
This artwork by Wu Zhongqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,583.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Wu Zhongqi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Zhongqi erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.583,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Wu Zhongqi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
