In May 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Wu Zhongqi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 11,500.00 (€ 1,140.44), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Zhongqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,583.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wu Zhongqi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 11.500,00 (€ 1.140,44) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Zhongqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.583,25).
