The work Moonlit Mount Qixia by Wu Weiye was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. It achieved a price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,779.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Weiye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,670,000.00 (€ 632,948.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Moonlit Mount Qixia von Wu Weiye kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.779,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Weiye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.670.000,00 (€ 632.948,36).
