Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Weiye achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Boatman sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,438.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 17,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Weiye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,670,000.00 (€ 632,948.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Weiye erzielte im März 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Boatman für USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.438,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 17.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Weiye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.670.000,00 (€ 632.948,36).
