Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Ancient Masters by Wu Weiye. The price achieved of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 14,839.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Weiye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,670,000.00 (€ 632,948.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Masters von Wu Weiye zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 14.839,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Weiye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.670.000,00 (€ 632.948,36).
