Ink and color on silk, framed and glazed, inscribed by the artist and signed Wu Weiye with two artist's seals, and with three collector's seals on the painting, mounted together with an ink on silk colophon dated Daoguang fifth year (1825) and signed Wang Tingru (1804-1852) with three calligrapher's seals, and a titleslip in clerical script, ink on silk, signed Jiweng, with a calligrapher's seal.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue and Green Landscape by Wu Weiye was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,096.00 (€ 3,869.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Weiye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,670,000.00 (€ 632,948.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue and Green Landscape von Wu Weiye kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.096,00 (€ 3.869,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Weiye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.670.000,00 (€ 632.948,36).
