Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Flower by Wu Meimei. The price achieved of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 1,065.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Meimei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bamboo And Insects, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,046.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower von Wu Meimei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 1.065,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Meimei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bamboo And Insects beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 35.400,00 (€ 4.046,17) versteigert wurde.
