This artwork by Wu Meimei achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo And Insects sold for HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,046.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00.
