Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Six-Character Couplet In Seal Script by Wu Jingheng. The price achieved of HKD 68,440.00 (€ 7,814.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Jingheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,458.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six-Character Couplet In Seal Script von Wu Jingheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.440,00 (€ 7.814,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Jingheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.458,71) versteigert wurde.
