Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Stone-drum Script by Wu Jingheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,793.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Jingheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,458.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Stone-drum Script von Wu Jingheng wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.793,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Jingheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.458,71) versteigert wurde.
