Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Huayuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 55,200.00 (€ 6,379.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Huayuan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,389.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Huayuan erzielte im April 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 55.200,00 (€ 6.379,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Huayuan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.389,84).
