Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bamboo And Rocks by Wu Huayuan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,046.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Huayuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,389.84).

Die Arbeit Bamboo And Rocks von Wu Huayuan wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.400,00 (€ 4.046,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Huayuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.389,84) versteigert wurde.
