This artwork by Wu Huayuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Landscape In Mi Style sold for HKD 32,200.00 (€ 3,721.38) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Huayuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,389.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Huayuan erzielte im April 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Landscape In Mi Style für HKD 32.200,00 (€ 3.721,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Huayuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.389,84) versteigert wurde.
