Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Memory by Wu Hao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 10,466.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in April this year with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 61,271.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Memory von Wu Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 10.466,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 61.271,74).
