This artwork by Wu Hao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Lotus sold for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,433.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Hao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in April this year with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 61,271.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Hao erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Lotus für HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.433,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Hao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 61.271,74).
