Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Visiting A Friend In Remote Mountains by Wu Dan. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,702.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Dan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Xia Gui in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,106.78).
