A top price for Wu Dan
This artwork by Wu Dan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. In the The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape After Xia Gui sold for USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,106.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. This high result makes Landscape After Xia Gui the most expensive artwork by Wu Dan that we have observed at auctions so far.
