This artwork by Wonder Buhle Mbambo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in April 2021. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work To Find Me sold for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,727.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wonder Buhle Mbambo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hearts, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 151,488.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wonder Buhle Mbambo erzielte im April 2021 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit To Find Me für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.727,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wonder Buhle Mbambo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hearts beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 151.488,92) versteigert wurde.
