The »bidding war« ended at NLG 12,925.00 (€ 6,212.36), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wobbe Alkema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work En Passant in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 84,000.00.

Die Arbeit Composition No. 11 von Wobbe Alkema wurde im Juni 2001 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 12.925,00 (€ 6.212,36) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wobbe Alkema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit En Passant im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.000,00.
