The work Abstract composition by Wobbe Alkema was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wobbe Alkema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work En Passant in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 84,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Abstract composition von Wobbe Alkema wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wobbe Alkema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit En Passant im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.000,00.
