Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Improvisatie by Wobbe Alkema was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 21,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wobbe Alkema - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work En Passant, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 84,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Improvisatie von Wobbe Alkema kam im November 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 21.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Wobbe Alkema mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit En Passant beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 84.000,00 versteigert wurde.
