Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wild Rose, Hadrian's Wall by Winifred Nicholson was sold in the Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey auction at Christies in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,320.37). Admittedly, works by Winifred Nicholson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St Ives Harbour in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wild Rose, Hadrian's Wall von Winifred Nicholson wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.320,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St Ives Harbour im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
