Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Japanese Anemones by Winifred Nicholson was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 88,200.00 (€ 102,752.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Winifred Nicholson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St Ives Harbour, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Japanese Anemones von Winifred Nicholson wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 88.200,00 (€ 102.752,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit St Ives Harbour beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91) versteigert wurde.
