Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Winifred Nicholson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November this year. In the Modern British Art auction, the work Flowers in Snow, Bankshead 56 x 76.4 cm. (22 x 30 in.) sold for GBP 53,740.00 (€ 62,272.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Winifred Nicholson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St Ives Harbour in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Winifred Nicholson erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British Art wurde die Arbeit Flowers in Snow, Bankshead 56 x 76.4 cm. (22 x 30 in.) für GBP 53.740,00 (€ 62.272,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St Ives Harbour im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
