In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction Blazing a TrailModern British Women, which included the work Wild Flowers, Greece by Winifred Nicholson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,480.00 (€ 4,480.00), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winifred Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Ives Harbour in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).

Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wild Flowers, Greece von Winifred Nicholson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.480,00 (€ 4.480,00) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St Ives Harbour im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
