The work Staffa by Winifred Nicholson was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,833.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winifred Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Ives Harbour in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).

Die Arbeit Staffa von Winifred Nicholson wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.833,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St Ives Harbour im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
