Auction result well in line with expectations
The work February by Winifred Nicholson was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,217.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winifred Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Ives Harbour in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).

Die Arbeit February von Winifred Nicholson kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.217,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St Ives Harbour im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
