Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arlots by Winifred Nicholson was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 14,025.00 (€ 16,724.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winifred Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Ives Harbour in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arlots von Winifred Nicholson wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.025,00 (€ 16.724,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winifred Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St Ives Harbour im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
