Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Wall In Paris, Texas', 2001 by Wim Wenders was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May 2016. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,417.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Wenders have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lake Galilee before Sunrise in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 60,296.09).

Die Arbeit 'Wall In Paris, Texas', 2001 von Wim Wenders wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.417,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Wenders auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lake Galilee before Sunrise im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 60.296,09).
