Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lounge Painting #1 Gila Bend, Arizona by Wim Wenders was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,513.62). Admittedly, works by Wim Wenders have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lake Galilee before Sunrise in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 60,296.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lounge Painting #1 Gila Bend, Arizona von Wim Wenders wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.513,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Wenders auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lake Galilee before Sunrise im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 60.296,09).
