Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open/ NYC, which included the work Dust Road in West Australia by Wim Wenders. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,501.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Wenders have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lake Galilee before Sunrise in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 60,296.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open/ NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dust Road in West Australia von Wim Wenders zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.501,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Wenders auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lake Galilee before Sunrise im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 60.296,09).
