Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Jesus) by Wim Delvoye was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 50,800.00 (€ 57,794.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Delvoye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 265,313.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Jesus) von Wim Delvoye wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.800,00 (€ 57.794,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Delvoye auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 265.313,28).
