It achieved a price of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,133.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Hepple - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Striking A Bargain, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,772.65).
