A top price for Wilson Hepple - as previously expected
In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work Striking A Bargain by Wilson Hepple. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,772.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Striking A Bargain is the most expensive artwork by Wilson Hepple that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Striking A Bargain von Wilson Hepple zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.772,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Striking A Bargain das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wilson Hepple, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
