Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work A foggy morning by Wilson Hepple. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,474.60). Admittedly, works by Wilson Hepple have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Striking A Bargain in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,772.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A foggy morning von Wilson Hepple zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.474,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilson Hepple auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Striking A Bargain im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.772,65).
